First off, I love GP38-2s and Geeps in general. The UP GP38-2 is a great loco from this website. Now, it’s not perfect, but it’s really impressive.

    Pros:
UP GP38-2 that was once owned by Southern Pacific. A UP GP38-2 NEVER appeared in Trainz, but now there’s one to play with.
A decent K3LA horn. The horn does bug out after about 2-3 seconds, but it’s nothing serious
3 skins for the locomotive (clean, slightly weathered, and weathered)
    Nice RRmods sound effects
    Awesome bell
A few cab controls that can be interacted with
Flashing Ditchlights (even though UP doesn’t use flashing ditchlights except for the Ex-SP units that are repainted and still have their ditch lights)
Really great when used with the UP Train Pack from JointedRail

    Cons:
Not too many controls that can be interacted with
    No startup/shutdown feature.
Isolation can be toggled using the isolation switch, but it’s purely cosmetic and just there for immersion.
Only the headlights have the iconic RRmods flares, the ditchlights don’t.

All in all, despite the few faults this Geep has, It’s safe to say this locomotive is definitely worth the money and time. Again, it’s also a UP GP38-2. There aren’t any UP GP38-2s in trainz dlcs, so now is a great time to add a UP item to your Trainz collection if you don’t already have it. It also goes very well with the UP Train Pack from JointedRail as well as the BNSF Train Pack, also from JointedRail.
