RRMods is proud to announce the New release of Christian’s (escd84) Sandusky Route Stage 3

Part of the Norfolk Southern Sandusky District and Wheeling & Lake Erie´s Hartman Sub

The Sandusky District is a railway line north of Columbus, OH. It leads from the suburbs of the city to Sandusky, OH at Lake Erie. It is part of Norfolk’s Southern Heartland Corridor, between Chicago, IL and Norfolk, VA. There are connections to many major routes operated by NS, CSX and some Class II and Class III companies. A major hub for many of these lines is the hump yard in Bellevue, OH. The Moorman (Bellevue) Rail Yard is one of the largest in the NS system, it has 80 classification bowl tracks. In the west you can still see the old Eastbound and Westbound yards of NKP, N&W expanded the yard to include the 42 tracks yard bowl and NS expanded the yard to include a further 38 tracks yard bowl.
This is a fictional replica of the line, starting at the coal port in Sandusky and heading south. The route currently ends near Chatfield, just before Bucyrus. This is not a prototype replica; everything should only be recognizable. It is a growing route that will continue to grow in the future.
